Tohoku

Tohoku region is most famous for its scenic beauty and is particularly known for its winter activities. Tohoku receives one of highest snowfall in all of Japan. Skiing and Hot Springs are some of the best activities during winter season. During Summer, the region is covered with fresh flowers and ample Sun shine. The Shirakami mountains has the world’s largest forest of Beech trees, is considered a World Heritage Site. This region is also famous for its sea-food and its cuisines. The area also has many world famous Japanese Gardens.
